Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) is conveniently located close to downtown Baton Rouge and to the LSU campus. The best way to reach the LSU campus from BTR is by taxi (about $20 ride). There are always taxis available at the terminal.

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is about 70 miles from Baton Rouge. The main travel options between New Orleans and Baton Rouge are Greyhound bus and car rental.



For those wanting to explore the Baton Rouge area, a car rental is recommended. The organizers will also make an effort to provide rides for local transportation. The main taxi company is Yellow Cab; Lyft and Uber also operate within the city.


LSU has metered parking and visitor parking; more information can be found at LSU Visitor Permits. The visitor parking areas require a permit, which can be purchased here. If you're staying at the Cook Hotel or Sonesta ES Suites, you can park for free by leaving your car at the hotel.
